Animal Physio & Rehabilitation Ltd is owned and operated by Kirsten Gollan. Kirsten grew up in Guernsey in the UK. A keen interest in animals and sports led her to complete a veterinary physiotherapy degree.
Kirsten gained a degree in physiotherapy before going on to specialise in animal physiotherapy. She completed a Masters degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy at the Royal Veterinary College, London. Since that time she has been working as an animal physiotherapist in the UK and New Zealand.
No, anyone involved in the animals care can refer for physiotherapy. Your vet however may be consulted in order to ensure that your animal receives the appropriate treatment.
No, all animals can benefit from physiotherapy. As your animal has muscles and bones they respond well to physiotherapy.
This depends on the type of injury and age of the animal. Some injuries can be resolved in 1 - 2 treatments. Tendon, ligament and Neurological treatment can take longer.
A full assessment is required in order to determine the most appropriate treatment options.
Most of our referrals are for horses and dogs. However we have and do treat many other animals.
